We had word that Mike Mashburn passed away recently. This photo from the 77 yearbook.

Changes at the High School

Mary Elizabeth took us on a tour of the the high school. There are a lot of changes and additions but in other ways it's the same. What's new: there is a new cafeteria, and concession area outside the gym, several additions on both sides for the gym down stairs with new classrooms. All the wings up stairs have an addition similar to the one built our sophomore year and in the back "English" hall there are a new set of stairs and classrooms. They have a fine arts department and the auditorium. The school seemed to be in good shape.

The old cafeteria is still there and the old elementary buildings are used for a freshman campus.

I didn't take notes so these are just my observations. Thanks to Mary for the tour and answering our questions. Janet

Hello Classmates!

September has arrived and our reunion plans are made. The committee has enjoyed planning the event and we are looking forward to seeing everyone! Those of you that are unable to attend will be missed.

Reminders:

Meeting at the ballgame Friday, Sept. 19th night to cheer on the yellowjackets! Game starts at 7:00 so get there early and look for the Welcome Class of 78 sign.

Saturday, Sept. 20th.

• If you want a tour of the high school meet in front of the school at 4.
• We have been offered free tours of the Grant County Museum so if you get the chance to go by that weekend let them know you are from the Class of 78!
• Dinner - Gather at the Country Club at 7 pm for the big event!
